As I mentioned last month, our food tasting was coming up. When we decided to create our menu we put alot of thought into it. We wanted it to be fun, unique and of course, great tasting. We decided to incorporate my Kentucky side of southern cooking and his Charleston side of seafood and low country delicacies in order to have a fabulous fusion of both. We were both nervous & excited about our tasting. We had never eaten any of the head chefs food so we did not know how good or bad his skills were. I will proudly admit that we are both foodies and somewhat snobs about it so we were really going to take this time to get a feel for our head chef and let him know what needed to be tweaked, completely changed or left as is. I must admit that we were pleasantly surprised with the taste and quality of food. They normally don't serve alcohol at tastings, but since Clyde invented a signature drink for our reception in honor of ME, they went ahead. It was wonderful! Even the chef was impressed. With the way that the tasting went, we are more than comfortable knowing that our guests are going to enjoy every part of the dining experience at the reception. We are so very excited!
