Signed, sealed and delivered with cuteness!

As a fashion forward bride, I want every detail of our wedding to be memorable. As soon as I saw that http://www.zazzle.com/ offered personalization of mailing stamps I knew that these babies were a must have!! Here are a few examples. You can even get your picture put on them! Imagine that!

Love is....throwback comic strip!

If you are anywhere close to my age, I am sure that you remember the Love Is... comic strips! I love these things. I have even given Clyde a couple across the years :-)

This one is a reminder of how hard we will be working to get in shape for our wedding day!

Tablescape ideas.

Lately, I have seen a variety of tablescapes on my quest for inspiration in order to design ours. Some with candles, some with flowers, some with both. Some with crystals, tree branches, staggered vases, clear and colored decorative bowls and even fish. Yes, poor little fish in bowls. Can you say, tacky!? But hey, it's not MY decor, I just hate it for those poor fish! Tablescapes are basically tables decorated and made to look fabulous and chic (though they do not always come out that way). Linens can play a vital role in the overall appearance of your tablescape. We have already selected our linens for the reception and and I must say, that are FAB!! Here are some tablescapes that I like. Some I like the entire setup, others certain aspects.

Cake inspirations!

Who knew that there were so many options for wedding cakes?!? They come in every color, shape, size, theme and flavor. I have been looking at tons of websites and magazines and I have been amazed at all of the options for weddings in this day and age. We do not want a traditional wedding cake, but then again, not many things in our wedding will be traditional. We want everyone to enjoy eating our cake and maybe even take some to go. This is why we picked Cakes by Kasarda for our baker. However, before any of our guests taste it they will see it and we want them to be WOWED by our cake in appearance and taste. Here are a few that are inspiring.

Wedding Mood Boards.

So, I have been looking for inspiration as we begin to plan our wedding. I am a modern day woman with certain traditional values. Our wedding will exude this down to the very last detail. Here are a couple of my inspiration boards. I already have so many ideas and concepts in my head. I don't want our wedding to be "just another wedding." We want our wedding to be unique and special in every way and for our guest to know that we put thought and effort into our planning such a fabulous event ;-) (From http://snippetandink.blogspot.com/)

Our Monogram!

As we begin this journey of Two Becoming One, it was only natural for us to have a monogram created. I am not sure which one is my favorite, but we really like them both. I guess that you can tell that we have decided to make our colors be Tiffany Blue and Chocolate. What do you think?

A piece of Cake

We had a chance to meet with our baker Kasarda. http://www.cakesbykasarda.com/
I really had no idea what to expect for this one. We got a bit pissed at the other baker that we had an appoint with (Lady Fingers in Charlston, SC) because they had to cancel an appointment that we had made at least a MONTH prior even though we were coming into town primarily for tasting. I thought that Angela was going to call and curse her out. This turned out to be a blessing. We arrive at Kasarda's and she comes to the door.... NICE SPOT!
Now to the cake...

This part I take VERY seriously (I'm a foodie). Kasarda made our choice EXTREMELY HARD! I was thankful for that. She was very knowledgeable about how things were to be done and what the best options were for getting our cake done. We hate fondant! On a personal note: I am not a fan of chocolate cake...but the chocolate cake she had was incredible!! It needed NO MILK!

We made some preliminary decisions and still have to decide on our top layer. If you are wondering why I am not disclosing the chosen cakes and the fillings is because we want it to be a surprise. :-P

I whole heartedly reccomend Kasarda for all of your special cake needs...
