I had another fab-u-lous photography session with Sky of Sky+Carla Photographers on Saturday. One of my Matron of Honors, Trice, went with me. It was great. We took them at Château Élan. Château Élan is a beautiful vineyard/winery North of Atlanta. Click here for their website: http://www.chateauelan.com I am so excited about seeing the pictures. I hope to get them back soon to share with you all!

Issues with the Post Office and R.S.V.P. cards...
Though we mailed our invitations the end of August and the beginning of September, several people have yet to receive theirs. Ughhhhh. A few people have called within the past couple of days and stated that their invite looked as if it was lost and that they were just getting it; however, it was clearly post marked weeks ago. Sigh. Gotta just shake my head on that one. This creates issues that I never considered. Issue One: our R.S.V.P. deadline was two weeks ago. Issue Two: Our guest list keeps growing. Yep, not cool.
Something else that has caused me a headache, is the fact that people do not send their R.S.V.P. cards back or they have sent them back AFTER the deadline. Can we say etiquette?!? People want to "send word" via our family or friends that they are coming. Again, not cool. I feel as if we thought enough of you to invite you to our wedding by sending you a formal invitation with a self addressed and stamped R.S.V.P./Reply card, the least you could do was return it to us, on time. I was warned about this from other brides and I was like SURELY our guest won't do that. Oh, well. They were right.
Counting down....two more weeks from tomorrow! Woohoo!

We have our Marriage License!
We were in Charleston,SC this past weekend to handle more wedding related business. I had to have my makeup trial, dress alteration appointment and meeting with the florist. In addition to those items, our biggest to do list check was getting our MARRIAGE LICENSE! Yay! We went and applied for it and had to go back to pick it up the next day. Hmm, maybe they do that to ensure you are not going to change your mind. Go figure. Nonetheless, we were so excited! When we walked in there and went through security as Clyde's watch was on the "x-ray" monitor it was shaped like a heart. Us and the security man and woman were in agreement that was a good sign! Here are some picture of us at the court house with our marriage license. Just a few more weeks to go before our wedding!
Here we are with our marriage license.
Just because :)
Really? The Commitment Division is with the Marriage License Division. How ironic-funny!
Me :)

We are so excited that so many other people are taking joy in the love that we share as well as our love story. This one is from Air Atlanta Helicopters. To updo or not updo...that is the question.
I love the elegance of a classy updo. Be it a bun, chignon, twist around...love the look. I am still deciding whether to rock my hair up or down. Hmmm, we'll see. I'm going to do a hair trial soon and we'll see how it goes and I'll decide then. In the meantime here are several fab updo's/buns/twists arounds that I'd rock!

We've been blogged about, again! Yay!
I checked my e-mail this morning and Carla from Sky+Carla Photography (http://www.sky-carla.com) had e-mailed me to say that several planners/bloggers/people have asked their permission to use our pictures from our engagement session with them. The current one is from the blog Chocolate Rose and is titled: LOVE THIS! We are so happy that other people love our pictures as much as, well maybe almost, as much as we do ;)
